In mid-March, I traveled to Austin, TX (the land of BBQ and cowboy boots) for my first South By South West (SXSW) experience. I did my research before packing and made sure I didn’t look like an outsider (high heels are a complete style no no for the annual music, film, and interactive conference).

Traditionally, teaser trailers are about half a minute long. They’re sole purpose is to tease (go figure!) the viewer and have us anxiously awaiting the full length trailer which debuts at a later time. Of all the teaser trailers I’ve seen in my life, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one as pointless as the new teaser for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. It’s a mere 15 seconds in length and I’m almost positive that Summit Entertainment’s only reason to debut this useless clip is to keep their beloved vampire franchise in the headlines.   Still, some of you die-hard fans may actually enjoy the new teaser which is why

From the guy who scored a hit with the remake of ‘Dawn of the Dead’ and ’300,’ but struck out with ‘Watchmen’ and last year’s ‘Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole,’ director Zack Snyder brings us ‘Sucker Punch.’ A film filled with emptiness and a hodgepodge of other films, it’s like watching an unofficial sequel to ‘Showgirls’ with some ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Battle L.A.’ thrown into the mix.

Ashley Cole looks like coolness personified as he stepped out in a Dolce&Gabbana T-shirt, leather jacket and sneakers in London. And why wouldn’t he? Caretaker England Manager Stuart Pearce has described him as the best left-back to ever play for England.

Cole’s consistent good form has been a leading light both for England and Chelsea.

After mourning the loss of international superstar Whitney Houston on CNNs all-day coverage of the singers funeral, this Jay, Bey and Blue Ivy skit truly lifted our spirits on Saturday. In NBCs Saturday Night Live ‘Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Baby’ spoof, SNL veteran Maya Rudolph and SNL newbie, Jay Pharoah showed us an alleged day at home with the Carters. Celebrities like Prince, Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and singer-songwriter Bon Iver (played by Justin Timberlake) all stop by the crib to meet newborn, Blue Ivy Carter. LOL at Kristen Wiig playing Taylor Swift.
