The family docu-series “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” and the new original series “Beverly’s Full House follows two strong modern matriarchs and their families, premieres back-to-back on March 31 on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. 

“Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” airs from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT, followed by “Beverly’s Full House” at 10-11 p.m. ET/PT.

Designers & eBay You Can’t Fake Fashion $200 Bags

You Can’t Fake Fashion is a great initiative started by eBay and CFDA (the Council of Fashion Designers of America) in their efforts to minimize the impact of counterfeit goods on original fashion. By substituting the fake goods with “Can’t Fake Fashion” goods.

And to be perfectly honest, judging by the looks of the totes created for the cause, they might stand a chance. Maybe. Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Robert Geller, Tommy Hilfiger, The Row and many other designers interpreted the anti – counterfeit tote in their manner.

Terror Tuesday Report: The Burning Moon (1997)

The Film

Terror Tuesday is a celebration of horror movies on 35mm film, so when our host Zack Carlson announced he was showing The Burning Moon it was a bit of a shock. This German movie was shot on video so it really only exists in a digital format. I missed the previous week’s showing, but apparently when announcing he was showing The Burning Moon, Carlson told people specifically not to come see it. Not only is it shot on video but it’s also such an extreme gut punch that they would just hate it. He probably said it much more cleverly than I (and this is why we love Zack), but you get the idea.

Cuba Gooding Jr. to Star in New FOX Series, “Guilty”

Cuba Gooding Jr. has been cast in a starring role in the new FOX legal drama series, Guilty. The Jerry Maguire star will play an ethically questionable defense attorney who loses his license to practice law after being falsely accused of fraud but continues to solve crimes while exacting revenge on those who set him up.

Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim wrote the pilot script and will executive produce alongside Peter Johnson. McG is on board to direct the pilot from Warner Bros. Television, Bonanza Productions, Berlanti Productions and Wonderland Sound and Vision.

Did Marc Jacobs Give Up Wearing Skirts?

I’ve been meaning to show you this photo – it may be relevant for Fashion Week! You never know what’s coming with Mac Jacobs and his upcoming collection – so this may just as well be a hint of what’s coming on the catwalk!

And that’s a rare opportunity for us, mere fashmortals! Marc Jacobs was seen attending an official event (the opening of a commercial gallery) wearing the below photographed outfit. If he wasn’t a fashion designer, I would’ve easily blasted this as “what was he thinking” kind of outfit. Only I can’t do that. He’s a designer, hence he’s au courant with everything and anything that goes on in fashionland more than me.
