Tom Ford Talking About Himself. And Fashion. And More

Written by Tristan Arndell on November 9, 2011 – 1:09 pm

Last week, the very coveted beauty collection by Tom Ford was launched at Bergdorf Goodman. And, knowing the excessively controlling Mr. Ford, he was there for the launch. Which is perfectly normal. He is a man of fashion, a man of the world, he has to be everywhere where his name appears on a product label. And that’s why (partly) women desperately love him.

Because he appears to be a very focused man, a driven individual who knows exactly what he wants, when he wants it and how he wants it (hmmm wait! Thats not Tom Ford? Thats my Adored Husband Im talking about!). Although if we remember what he said a while back about him being extremely shy and introspective, all this is just the image of a perfect man he has projected out in the world.

Halloween White Elephant: Lesbian Vampire Killers

Written by Tristan Arndell on November 5, 2011 – 5:25 pm

From JCI’ve heard stories about how awful this is, and I’ve never seen it myself, and I’d like for Peter to write a hilarious review of this.

[Note: Because the Weinstein Company is apparently afraid of the implication of breasts, the movie is titled just Vampire Killers in the US.]

Lesbian Vampire Killers is the kind of movie that I should hate, but dont. Im normally not a fan of spoofy horror movies. Either make a real horror movie or make a real comedy, because whenever the two get overtly cross pollinated, the result is crap like Stan Helsing and Transylmania.

Vivienne Westwood’s Anniversary Chivas Regal

Written by Tristan Arndell on October 14, 2011 – 3:10 pm

Every now and then, a new designer collaboration is charming my eyes and warming my fashion loving heart. Vivienne Westwood took upon a very special challenge: to dress up the Chivas Regal bottle for its 210th anniversary, designing the festive attire of the Chivas Regals 18thyo label.

Dame Viv’s limited edition Chivas couture coats will only dress a limited number of bottles which is as sad as it is good news – I would’ve loved to get my hands on one of those charming Vivienne Westwood Chivas bottles! The Union Jack print is one of the most associated with Vivienne Westwood’s designs, not to mention that the bottle, dressed up like that, looks too pretty to dress down.
