In The Voice battle round episodes, Levine paired up Casey Weston and Tim Mahoney to compete on Don Henley and Stevies classic duet “Leather and Lace.” In the finale, Levine got his Nicks fix when his contestant, eventual champion Javier Colon, performed Fleetwood Macs “Landslide” with Stevie. The performance elicited tears from the Maroon 5 frontman, who told Colon, “Stevies one of my heroes, and now youre one of my heroes because you just sang with her.”
It looks like Levine finally reached his aspiration when the legend herself was brought out as a special guest at last nights Maroon 5 show. In a pair of sunglasses and a black ensemble, Nicks confidently belted her opening section of “Leather and Lace” to the screams of the audience. Watch below.
“This is one of those moments where you dont actually realize what youre doing until you do it,” Levine said to preface the performance. “What Id like to do is sing this next song with one of my favorite artists of all-time, and Im sure one of yours too, God do I love this woman.” The performance ended with a beaming Levine who ended bowing to his idol.
