Drake vs. Young Jeezy: Which Single is Better?
Written by Tristan Arndell on August 26, 2011 – 2:46 amWith the release of Drake’s ”Headlines” and Young Jeezy’s ”Shake Life” over the past week, rap fans have been given previews of two highly anticipated fall hip-hop albums. Only one question remains: which single is better?
Drake issued “Headlines” one day before rocking the stage at his OVO Festival in Toronto, where he brought out Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Stevie Wonder and more special guests. Produced by Boi-1da and Noah “40″ Shebib, the thoughtful track (“I guess it really is just me, myself and all my millions,” Drake shrugs) precedes the Oct. 24 release of Drake’s sophomore album, “Take Care.”
Meanwhile, Young Jeezy will return from a three-year album hiatus on Sept. 20 with “TM 103,” which features Jay-Z, Andre 3000 and Drake, among others. “Shake Life,” which was officially released on Monday after leaking last month, follows previously released tracks like “Ballin’” and “Lose My Mind” and finds the Snowman declaring, “I know it look bad, it’s gon’ be all right/Keep them bottles coming, we gon’ be here all night!”
Now that both songs have been released, it’s time to tell us how you feel about them.
