ICEHOUSE are offering fans a free recording of one of their concerts from more than 30 years ago.

The live performance by the Australian new wave band at Melbournes Centenary Hall in 1980 is available to download at their Facebook page.

It was found while Icehouse singer Iva Davis was revisiting the bands archives to compile a 30th anniversary edition of breakthrough album Flowers, which is out now.

He said the live-to-air broadcast for Melbourne radio station 3RRR uncovers the band, then known as Flowers, at their most primal.

“We thought this show was a great example of how Flowers sounded as a band at that time, playing the debut album and no cover versions,” Davis said.

“We found it hard to break it up into individual songs so didnt include any of these tracks in the 30th anniversary set as we wanted to share the concert whole.”

Icehouse will headline the Deni Ute Muster on October 1 and have hinted at new material. Their Centenary Hall concert can be downloaded at .
