NEW YORK (AP) — Two Texas women say they turned up — topless — in a Jim Jones video without their permission, and they’re suing the New York-based rapper over the “Summer Time” shots.
Sharie Johnson and Samantha Stotts filed a lawsuit Wednesday in New York. Lawyer Taso Pardalis says the two Houston-area friends initially didn’t realize they were being recorded in May at a private beach in Miami Beach, Fla., and covered up when they did. He says they were horrified when a friend alerted them to the video this winter.
It got more than 30,000 YouTube views before at least some copies were apparently removed from the site Thursday.
Jones’ lawyer didn’t immediately return a call Thursday.
Jones had one of the top-selling rap songs of 2007 with “We Fly High.”
