New Music: Bright Light Bright Light’s “Disco Moment” Is Your New Sad/Happy Dance Anthem!

Disco Moment is a truly inspirational video, full of fashion and grooming tips, and even some healthy schadenfreude.

Bright Light Bright Light is the pop music project from Britains Rod Thomas (he was a favorite revelation at this years SXSW), and his new single Disco Moment may just be the winsome, whirling, wondrously dreamy tune that youve been waiting for this summer. Its melodic and heartfelt and somehow way smarter than anything our US-based pop ladies (Brit, Beyonce, even Gaga) have been serving us this season; or maybe its just got a bit more heart.

Think of BLBLs Disco Moment as this years Dancing On My Own. Its a killer danceable pop tune with an aching heart. And Thomas himself is such a dreamy presence in the video How can you not fall hard?

The video also prompts other emotions. Like gratitude. Finally, I know what to wear to complete my TV-set-as-headgear look: fashionable whites! And the videos crying jag with rainblow-hued models makes me happy Im not as pretty or pale as they are, because its apparently debilitating. And the video makes me appreciate the fine nuance of a guy with good stubble. Looking good, Rod!
