Written by Tristan Arndell on July 4, 2011 – 10:42 am
Lady Antebellums Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrell are engaged, Us Weekly confirms.
Tyrell, the drummer of country music trio Love and Theft, first met the “Run to You” singer when they each served as opening acts on Tim McGraws Southern Voice Tour in 2010.
Over the Fourth of July weekend, Tyrell, 24, popped the question to Scott, 25, while the two were enjoying a day at the lake in Tennessee.
In April 2010, Scott told Us she felt “blessed” that Lady Antebellum formed the way it did. “Whatever just happens naturally is what we go with,” she said.

Duran Duran cancel summer tour over Le Bon’s vocal problems
Written by admin on July 4, 2011 – 9:03 am
Duran Duran have canceled their entire summer tour to allow frontman Simon Le Bon to rest his damaged vocal cords.
They were set to kick off their tour in Dublin next week, but on Tuesday, the group scrapped all shows after physicians advised Le Bon to undergo physical therapy.
He tells The Associated Press, “I am doing everything I can to work through this and get back on track as soon as possible.”
It is not known if Duran Duran will reschedule their performances for a later date.
The band canceled a string of dates on their U.K. tour in May after Le Bon fell ill with what medics believed was a throat infection.

Post-Voice,’ Grimes will be heading to Abilene
Written by Leah Gillies on July 3, 2011 – 12:49 pmAfter making a run on the NBC singing competition show “The Voice,” country artist Curtis Grimes is hitting the road.
His tour swings through Abilene with a show at the Lucky Mule Saloon on July 22, where Grimes will open for country band No Justice.
It’s part of the venue’s “free concert” series, which comes with a bit of an asterisk: patrons have to pick up advance tickets at sponsor locations and then arrive at the Lucky Mule before 8 p.m. for free admission. Advance tickets are good for half-off admission ($5) after 8 p.m. Otherwise, the show costs $10 to attend.
As one of the more twangy artists on “The Voice,” the 25-year-old Grimes kicked off his residency on the show with a cheeky move.
